Did you hear that

Do you hear what I hear? Most likely not. We hear what WE hear. Or choose to hear. Or want to hear. Or hear from our point of view. I am sure I do not hear what others do, mostly because I am deaf in my right ear. Wonder if hearing only from the left side changed the way I heard and interpreted the world and everyone in it?

  1. Selective hearing, selective seeing... it all depends on the conditions that have shaped us. BUT, once we recognize our selectiveness, we have an option to see or hear with more clarity.

    1. That is a really big BUT. If we do not recognize our selectiveness then there will be no change. A really wicked circle of "what if"

  2. I watched Death In Paradise last night, the one about the Green Parrots. Jack said "do you hear that?" And I did... even though I knew better. Because I wanted to hear. The world? I ain't listening. And who is the loser?

Be Well

My thoughts today are with a friend that is undergoing a major surgery, one that impacts her life. Sending healing energy and loving though...
