Listen

Yesterday I was skipping around a social media site and watched a clip I had seen before, but this time it profoundly moved me. It made me cry for a bit for some of the inhumanness that has occurred and continues to do so, not the clip I watched, but it triggered something in me. Every since the cardiac event and even before, I had/have been slowly making dietary changes, I mean 65 is not 35, and changes are a way of life. I have been hearing for weeks a quote from Louise Hay, "I eat what grows and I don't eat what doesn't grow." I realize now that this continual looping quote is my Soul encouraging me to make more changes, and the media clip yesterday cemented something in place. Though I am not yet ready to give up cheese, meats will no longer appear on my dining plate, and what is in the freezer will go to family. Listen.

The blank look

This card speaks to me on several levels today.

Yesterday sitting amongst family, I made a statement to the others sitting around the table, that as in other times, was met with disdain and deprecation, as usual. I really don't know why I expected anything different. We all have are own ideas and thoughts on things and they think mine are weird and new agey and I think theirs are  limited and narrow. I also realized that at 65 I am still seeking validation from them, why I don't know, if we haven't met in the middle by now, it is highly doubtful that we will find common ground. I withdrew into myself and said why even continue with them, well one, they are family, secondly we are all on a journey, most of us are on different paths to the same destination. The Awakening is allowing not only them to continue along, but allow myself the same, without feeling that anyone else needs to share or understand the Me of Me.

First Impressions

There comes a time when the opinions of others no long matter. Forget the Judgement of others; if they have so much extra time in their heads they should use it thinking of a better use of their time.  Too bad we don't learn early in life not worrying about others, the need to conform is exhausting and such a waste of time. A better use of our time is to just be, whatever that may be. Look in the mirror and celebrate all your own individual gloriness.

Coincidence

Judgement. I have seen or drawn Judgement on several occasions recently. Here on the blog, a personal spread, and on an advertisement. With multiple appearances I have been pondering the implications. 'The Call' The Change 'A Crossroads' An Awakening' Those all seem like momentous implications. How about another explanation that 'The Change' has already occurred, suggesting I just need to acknowledge that and move on? This Judgement depiction makes me think of Thought over Feeling, though feelings/intuition is a better choice for decision making, at least for me. I remember when I was in the hospital back in September with cardiac event, there was a recommendation of 'Answer the Call' when it comes.  I have thought of that conversation and wondered about 'The Call' that was supposedly on its way. Did I miss it? Is it coming? So many questions with these appearances of Judgement. I cannot force what I am not sure of, so I wait.

I am not sure what "Our Dead Drink The Sea, means. I searched the internet and it seemingly is from some game. What it means here? I am open to suggestions.

Own-self

There are times when we need the approval or blessing of another, but most the time not. Check in with oneself and do what your intuition tells you what is best.

Get to it

"Judge not less ye be judged"  I have judged others and myself throughout my days. These days I am less inclined to pass judgement on others (still working on it) but I am still a bit critical of myself; my self-acceptance is a work in progress. Last night I read an excerpt from 'The Book of  Hope' by Jane Goodall and Douglas Abrams.  I am in awe of her work and all that she has done to promote World Healing and a life well lived. In comparison, my life has come up short. I know there have been accomplishments, but was it enough?  Will I face judgement when I leave Planet Earth and move onto that Next Place for not doing more?  Guess I will know when I get there. I am hoping for a 'sliding-grade scale.' Until then there are still things I can do to make a difference, for me, for the World.

The 'Once-Over'

Those damn 'once-over' looks that you seemingly get from others, Is it all in our heads or are they really judging us as they pass us by?  I am experiencing increasing issues with my legs because of the previous trauma I endured. Why should I care what others think of my awkward gate? Yet I do. It has been challenging during my fading days in my sales career, because yes, we are judged a bit by those first impressions. A lesson for me, for us all, to view everyone with a bit of compassion instead of the judgemental "Once-Over.'

Directional

I had a dream this morning that calls me to question myself.  An epiphany, a self realization. I have been sitting with that dream for hours and I think I will give most of the day over to it.
I believe a "wake up call"

"You first took a little step off the path to avoid some rocks. For a while you walked along the path but then you wandered out a little way to step on softer soil. Then you stopped paying attention as you drifted farther and farther away. Finally, you found yourself in the wrong city wondering why the signs on the roadway hadn't led you better."

The masks we wear

"There is no way to leave the past behind. Each step wears down the shoe just a bit, and so shapes the next step you take, and the next, and the next. Your past is always under your feet. You cannot hide from it, run from it, or rid yourself of it. But you can call it up, and come to terms with it. Are you willing to do that?" ~ Aeclectic Tarot

Anticipation

And the word was written.
Looks like all the fairy folks and other woodland creatures are waiting for Father Time to make a decision.
Spring has arrived at the forest edge and winter must step back.  What message is being left for us as the season turns?  Do we go on as we have or do we give ourselves a chance at Renewal?

Nothing expected

Not expecting any kind of call today.  If it comes, I will listen.  Join a group?
Lately I grow more fear-full of the going ons of the world.  So much hate so much anger.  I wonder how many eons will it take when we can truly join hands in community.  I keep trying within my own sphere, but when reaching a lot of the time another hand is not extended.  Their fears keep themselves tightly bound.
Bright Blessings to the World and all who call it home

Calls to mind

This past weekend I spent time with some friends, a couple on Saturday, she is recovering from surgery and another on Sunday.  I could call both, friends because they listen and would be there with a call. I don't spend much time with either because they are a bit negative. I usually feel a bit icky after a visit. This card of Rebirth or Judgement reminds me, that we all have a path that we follow and if they choose to wallow, so be it; doesn't mean I have to join.  Also, they are teachers, mostly of the kind that shows me what I don't want to be.  I want to be up and out and about and live in lightness. Sure there are shadow days, but I/we don't need to live there.

Did you hear that

Do you hear what I hear? Most likely not. We hear what WE hear. Or choose to hear. Or want to hear. Or hear from our point of view. I am sure I do not hear what others do, mostly because I am deaf in my right ear. Wonder if hearing only from the left side changed the way I heard and interpreted the world and everyone in it?

Altered view

You really have to look at this Judgement portrayal to see the three cups with gossamer shrouded peoples rising up. So does this card of Judgement asks us to return to the people we chose back in the Three of Cups to dance our way through Life?  Are the choices we made back then what we are being judged for now?  Yesterday did present a moment when I looked at my family and asked myself, did they even really know me?  I almost asked the question and was going to make a real point of it, then I remembered the draw of Strength yesterday.  Now today I am thinking these are the people I have anchored myself to you, and if we really don't even know each other, then maybe Judgement tells me to move along.
Plenty of time to make new choices to be Judged by.

At last

Coincidental or Fortuitous?  Both.  What a spot on card to draw today, Spring makes her debut at 5:58 this afternoon.  Renewal, yes.  I have become winter weary and nothing but extended days of warmth and sunshine will lift the heaviness of winter that has seeped into my very being.  I plan to spend lots of days soaking up my 15-20 minutes daily of sunshine.
Good day to make my "Spring" cleaning and to do list.

Awakening

Last evening I went to a 'Mindfulness Meditation' class on healing, lead by a Buddhist monk.  One take away was compassion for myself.  I have thought that one of my lessons from my previous trauma event was more compassion for others facing difficult times.  I realize that I need to offer that same compassion for myself.

A moment

Stand up and take notice!

Last evening I experienced a perfect moment, time stopped and I could have lived in that moment.  A Sunset so stupendous and breathtaking that stories should be told about it.  I have seen many through my years and all are perfection.  There have been some Sunsets experienced at the beach as the Sun retires and there appears to be twinkling lights dancing across the ocean that are magical.  This one was different.  And I had a thought as I stood in awe, that had I died five years ago, I would have missed this moment of glory.

Judgement

Confucius as the card of Judgement confuses me.  He appears more likely The Hierophant.  I remember in my younger days there were a bunch of witty, sarcastic one liners "ahh, Conficius say"

One of his tenets was "do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself." - The Golden Rule
Can we ever know what another does or doesn't want?  What I need or want is different than the next, and I think much different in different cultures.  When Confucius live 551-479 B.C.  rural China had to be much different than the China today and America was still off the edge of the flat Earth.
I best not decide or judge what is best for another, besides I have enough work dealing with myself.

The Masks We Wear

The author says the image speaks to us about transformation and discarding the masks we wear and the old way of doing things.  A possible epiphany.

In sales we are taught to 'mirror and match' clients.  Most if not all of us are more comfortable being with someone that likens to ourselves.  I have spent twenty years in direct sales and I have an extensive collections of masks.  There are days that I ask myself, who I am?  Who are you behind all those masks?  And after wearing so many different ones for so many years, will it be possible to be comfortable with the me of me after shedding the layers, and that is if I can shed the layers.
Judgement also speaks to answering 'The Call'
There is something palatable in air. Some sense of change is upon me or all of us.

No judgement here

Another card of bounty, celebration, harvest.  Yesterday's card celebrated the success of day to day work.  Doing a job and doing it well and reaping the benefits with a bit of luck.
Today's card of Harvest/Judgement takes it to a much higher level.

It is curious to me to draw two very similar cards so closely together.  In this card of Harvest there is no judgement.  Just appreciation of work well done.  Maybe a delightful change is in the air for me.

"Everything smooths out when you just relax and trust in the Universe. It's difficult to believe, but you don't actually have the last word on how things turn out-this time. That ought to be welcomed news, since it means you can actually live your life instead of trying to steer it.  That should release a pile of stress, but also improve your willingness to try new things." - Unknown
