Apathy

 

I have been feeling disconnected lately. Not sure what or why. We all have been here at this crossroads. No inclination to move forward. Shaking our head with a grimace on our faces. Something unsettling but not really. Nothing to really pinpoint our resistance or dissension.  Hopefully the Fountain draw today suggests a glimpse of a moment of lucidity. Like a stream of sunlight through the crack in the curtains, announcing dawn.

Mirror and match.  What is on the other side of the looking glass?  When the mind has a thought, it passes through our system and the body responds with a feeling. The mind receives the 'feeling' response and has a thought about that. The loop begins and a new neuro-pathway establishes itself in our system.  In the last few days I have become more aware of some of those patterns. Repeating a previous scenario in my mind and the body responds with a emotion just like I was living that moment over again, reinforcing those neuro-pathways. The mind responds and then the body responds; what a messy maze. Those looping pathways are comfortable response patterns that the mind/body is accustomed to. Change takes a lot of self-awareness and work to establish new neuro-pathways.  I have been looking for a job, and there it was, right inside my brain. 

2nd day in a row, a mention of mirrors. Wonder what my mind/body connections are trying to show me?

Shed some light

I drew The Fountain card today on this first full day of Summer.  It always reminds me of a side view of a doorway, today perhaps a cosmic string if one can be seen or even if a cosmic string exists.  A doorway then to my Summer months  I have several issues to resolve during these next few months and The Fountain seems like a favorable nod to getting those things sorted and dealt with.  On going irritating conflicts resolved not based on reason but intuition and a strong emotional certainty.
Here is to a productive and insightful Summer.

The author gives us "a moment of cosmic clarity"  'outside and beyond'
There are days my cosmic clarity says I don't want to be a part of this madness on Earth, but that would be the easy way out.  Before I step through the doorway I need to ask myself, "what else can I do to leave the Planet better than when I came?"  Maybe today, a doorway will open and give me a clue.

I experienced a perfect moment early this morning.  I had to get up and go and check on the dogs at my sister's home.  7:15am and the beautiful Full Moon was still up and as the Earth turned, the Sun was making his appearance on the other side of the sky.  Two luminaries sharing the sky in all their magnificent glory.

The Fountain

The Fountain Tarot gives us one extra card, The Fountain.  Outside of but yet part of the Major Arcana, similar to the Fool.  Subtitled "Be"
Cosmic perfection, beyond the The World's completeness to that which is always there, the nameless, changeless, Oneness. 
Can it be a door way?  Something springing forth? Not sure what to make of the card.  I drew it at 5:34pm yesterday to mark the Winter's Solstice and now can't decide what to make of it.  A day of appraisal is at hand.  Maybe I should step through the doorway...
