Star - light please

Hope Springs Eternal

I have made a hash of things in regards to exiting from my sales career. One more, one more my ego tells me. One more because they asked me or needed me. I know when I step aside there are hundreds more ready, willing, and able to take my place, maybe that is why I take 'one more' because I don't want to admit that I am that easily replaced. Restless all night thinking of my exit. The Star this morning gives me hope that today is a good day for figuring out my next move. I get to choose my outcome by my choices and participation what and where  I 'pour' my intentions. The reason I am lingering is because I don't know what I want to do next and I can't fathom what I want to do next because my heart and mind are focused on what I don't want to do. A vicious little cycle I have created. The Star - light has spotlighted this issue.

Did I miss something?

There is something niggling at edge of my awareness. I am unable to put my finger on it or clarify the thought. Hopefully The Star will illuminate what is just out of my reach and lead me to answer the question not yet fully formed.
Maybe instead of thinking my way through, feeling my way would be a better choice.

Cosmic connection

When you seemingly get lost and drift into confusion, take a moment and sit beneath the stars. Timeless with their light and beauty, reminding me/us that there is light in darkness. There is magic to be gathered under the open sky of starlight; we are reminded that we are made of the same cosmic energy of the stars.

Possibilities

There are times we can become so focused, enchanted with the way things are, we forget to be open to the all possibilities that are around us. The World as well as ourselves are a wonder worth exploring. I am looking forward to my day with all the promises it offers.

Our gorgeous neighbor

This past Sunday I had happened to glance up and out at the evening sky and beheld the most fantastic view of Venus and the Crescent Moon. I went outside so that I could hopefully be dusted with some of Venus's light magic. The planet shines so brightly that we often forget that it is not a star. She is our nearest neighbor not including our orbiting Moon.  Though not a Star I was filled with wonder and made my wish. Bright Blessings.

Star light, Star bright

The Star card is my favorite card of the Tarot. The light of inspiration and hope usually lifting my spirit.  Not so much today. The Star feels flat with out depth or promise. The card is not different so the lack of depth is within me.  This Summer I have not spent really any time under the twinkling stars. I need to spend a few hours the next couple evenings 'star gazing' and hopefully accumulate some star dust in my eyes.  "Maybe catch a falling star and put in my pocket."

In my life

"There are places I'll remember, All my life though some have changed. Some forever, not for better. Some have gone and some remain. -

In My Life ~ Beatles

One of my favorite songs. This Star draw reminds me of the light that shines on some of my memories, some are good and some not.  They are mine and I will keep them all, because they are a part of me.  Anything less and I would not be me. That could be better or may not.  Coming to the point of acceptance is part of the Dance of Life.

Starlight - Starbright

"When you wish a upon a star." We all make wishes upon a star. There is something so magical when you stand outside and look up at the night sky and see all those twinkling lights. When I first got this deck I fell in love with this card. It still is one of my favorite cards within my collection. I am going to take this as a good sign of the good fortune that awaits for me today.

There has been lots of talk of a the Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn and their formation that will appear as a "Christmas Star" Not really. Except for the cloud cover this last week you can see them approach each other. It's been neat to watch them chase each other across the sky all summer long. The Celestial Event is an ongoing presentation in the sky, not just a moment that will not appear as anything as bright as Venus, still beautiful to behold.

The promise

The Star, a favorite. With twinkling promises of wishes fulfilled. Today wishful thinking won't do me any good.  I had a bright and shiny day yesterday, with family and bridal shower for a soon-to-be niece inlaw. By the end of the day things fell flat for me. Maybe too much sugar from the treats. Possibly a reminder of a path I didn't follow, but never figured I make the journey on my own. There was  also a negative person there that emitted some darkness and the ickyness lingered. I set out in the moonlight beneath the stars last night hoping that this morning the sugar and shadow hangover would have dissipated, but still listless. Maybe more sitting out under our local star, The Sun, today will burn away what lingers.

The Star

The Star, always one of my favorite cards.
I love to go out at night and bathe in starlight.  Don't seem to do enough of it, especially on chilly and cold nights.  The Star offers the promise of better days ahead, or the light at the end of the tunnel.   I will look for enlightening clues for me today.  A suggestion, a hint, an inkling,  Looking for my true north.

Clearing skies

I have been seeing posts of wonderment of the absence of planes in the air.  I live nearby to the national UPS hub and there are always planes in the sky, but even those numbers are down.  Not many domestic air flights either.  The air that we are breathing has got to be better.  Last night I went out to catch a glimpse of the almost full moon, since it will be rain tonight and didn't hear much of any air traffic.  There are blessings during these challenging days.

Star of Wonder

Getting warm enough to spend time out at night Star gazing.  Stars of Wonder, Stars of Light.   I love the night sky.  I have more difficulty star gazing since I have screws in my neck and can't bend this way or that.  I live near the cities so lots of light pollution as well; still I enjoy what there is to see.  Last night went out too late to see the quick pass by of the Starlink satellites but hope to catch a glimpse sometime soon.  Always something to enjoy and appreciate.  The promise of The Star fulfilled.

Star of light

Star of Wonder, Star of Light.
I had not noticed before, that this Star woman is metamorphosing into a mermaid.  Her lower legs are wispy fins. What are we missing when we really don't see?
Maybe a better description would be "Changeling"
I can be or am the change that I want and need.

Leave it till later

I am not getting anywhere with these two.  In the Devil card it almost looks like vapors forming the two people, so maybe what we speak can become who we are; makes sense.  Not sure about that Star rising up from the murky depths- Hope springs eternal.
Release after bondage?
Balance? Realignment? Dark and Light?
Lived and Rats(backward spelling)?
Something to think on today.

Promise

Hope springs eternal

The Fairy has opened the Chalice Well, releasing hope and magic.  Brings to mind wishing wells; to this day I will stop pull a coin from pocket or purse, close my eyes, think of my wish and toss my coin in hoping for my wish to come true.  At sixty I still believe, and that is something to be grateful for.  I haven't lost my connection to magic, possibilities, and the promise of wonderment.
'Find a penny pick it up and all day long you have good luck' and if I happen to come upon a wishing well and have my lucky penny with me, all kinds of wonderful are available to me.

Go ahead, make a wish!

SPLASH

What an interesting interpretation of The Star.  Instead of standing between the medians of water and land the author gives us a mer-woman.  Legs that become wispy fins.  It reminded me of the movie SPLASH, where Darryal Hannah played Madison a mermaid looking for her one true love on land.

I noticed after scanning the card there does not seem to be a boarder around image.  Hope comes without limitation as well.  I love drawing The Star card and always make a wish.  So what will my wish be for me on this day of the Full Moon?

Polaris

Most Tarotist interpret The Star card as hope and healing after the emotional storm of The Tower.  I always want to make a wish when The Star reveals herself.  The 'Wish' card.

" A certain darkness is needed to see the stars." - not sure
I remember reports coming in after the huge earthquake in 1989 that devastated  the San Fransisco and Oakland area in California and one of them struck me as funny and then sad.  People were concerned and scared that the sudden appearance of Stars in the sky must have been the reason for such a huge earthquake, that some astronomical event had occurred... so many had never seen the stars because of so much light pollution from the huge cities.
I grew up in a more rural area and the stars were glorious and the happenstance to see a 'shooting star' was a very auspicious sign.
So I am going to 'make my wish' and enjoy my day.

Go ahead, make a wish

The Star Card, make a wish Carolyn.

What a auspicious draw for the day.  Not only The Star Card, I also have come upon a wishing well.  I read somewhere along the line that water dieties may have lived in wells and could hear the hopes and wishes of those that came to draw water from the well.  I don't supposed they would live there now with all the water pollution and chemical treatments of the water.
