The Money Tree

The Money Tree. I couldn't tell you how many times my parents asked me and my sibs if they thought we had a money tree in the backyard? I asked my nephews and niece the same thing when they would come to visit. Oh if only. Well not really. We did have some lovely trees in our backyard; three really huge maple trees planted to sunscape the back of house, they were fantastic trees for climbing. Several peach trees that gave us a bountiful of yumminess every other year. A crabapple tree that produced hard little projectiles that mostly we had to pick up and toss over the fence line so they didn't dull the lawnmower blades. I love trees and realize now that all trees are money trees, giving us so much.

Inaction for action

Yesterday's Knight of Earth (Pentacles) had me digging for information. Today's Ace of Earth suggests sitting in repose, hunkering down and waiting and watching. Aces suggest new energy and possible new beginnings. This baby fawn is a new beginning and though it has lots of energy there are times you sit and wait. Wait for the information to become clear. Wait for the energy to build, so as to begin. Wait for the right moment. Wait and no rushing forward till you know where you are headed.

This n That

Road Map

The Ace of Earth (Pentacles) jumped from the deck this morning, and I drew the Nine of Cups as the companion card. First I noticed the stark difference in the colors of the two cards. The Ace shrouded in bleak brown, and the Nine awash in delicate hues of aqua.
In my birth chart I remember a astrologer said look for balance.  I have lots of Earth and Fire, and almost no Water.  Maybe that is what draws me to return to the Ocean.

It's all good

Life in the (not) so fast lane.

Success doesn't have to done at a dizzy pace. Life can be as easy or as hard as I make it.  For today I will enjoy my successes in what ever way they present.  Easy peasy or easy does it.

Don't save it for a special occasion, today is special- go ahead, take that Ace of Pentacles out for a spin.

A Gift!

Years ago, maybe ten, I went to this class on Tarot. A relative newbie as were the other nine people in the class, we all had shiny new decks waiting on the informed insight of a 'Master Teacher'  Since then I have come to the conclusion that you can never quite master tarot, mostly because insights as to what the card relay can change daily or with each situation.  One of things I remember from that class is when an Ace appears it is a gift. I can still read that on some of the tarot sites "A Gift"

Yesterday I read of a new  on-line Mystery School being offered and though I am reluctant to sign on with another pseudo wizard of oz program; I think this one may have merit.  I didn't sign up last night after reading about it and thought I would see how I felt about it this morning.  This 'gift' of an Ace indicates that beginning a program on a possible ancient mystery is something worth following through with.
As Bilbo Baggins said, "I am quite ready for a new adventure."

Jingle Jangle

That is the phrase I heard when I looked at this card. So I went out to the www and wanted to see where the expression originated.

I always associated the phrase with the jingle of coins in my pocket, you know when you are standing in line with nothing much to do but wait (this was before the cell phone) and you just jingled the coins in your pants pocket.
Upon discovery Jingle Jangle was a tune performed by the Archies back in the 1960's.  There is also a song named Jingle, Jangle, Jingle performed by lots of old country western singers that refers to the sound their spurs make while horse back riding, also I think back in the 60's.  I think the Archie's song came first so I don't know if there was ever a suit for infringement.  Anyway, I going to take a nod from the card and go out and jingle jangle some of my coins today and come back home with less than I started with.

Wonderland

I have noticed this year the abundance of rabbits.  This last winter was very mild and with no deep freeze there was no 'kill off' of many of natures creatures.

It is best not to go chasing rabbits.

Revisitation

I think I will stay for another day, thank you.

This lovely fairy revisited me today and I am good with that.  An Ace of Pentacles is always a good omen.  Yesterday she stopped by and I had a really good day.  I found a ten dollar bill, nice.  I received an offer that the owner accepted on a home that was a bit challenged.  The weather was absolutely wonderful, a good day to shore us up before the next two weeks of very chilly days.  An abracadabra day.  So for her to make a second appearance, I am all for that.  I have a class this morning, hence the books I think.  A brokers open house late this afternoon, maybe I will lucky enough to draw one of the give-a-ways.  Today is Friday so a lot of people are a bit nicer on Fridays since their weekend is away from work.
I hope everyone has an Ace of Pentacle day!

Found treasures

Find a penny pick it up

I posted this ditty the other day,
Find a penny pick it up, all day long I will have good luck.
Maybe I will find a lucky penny today.
A small nugget of wisdom or truth might pass my way.
A token of appreciation
Maybe a gesture of gratitude.
A bit of this or that!

I keep hearing the nursery rhyme when I look at this card -
A-tisket a-tasket
A green and yellow basket
I wrote a letter to my love
and on the way I dropped it
I dropped it, I dropped it,
and on the way I dropped it.
A little boy he picked it up
and put it in his pocket.

Acquistion

When I first started studying The Tarot, I read that all Aces are gifts. So one would think that this Ace could portend forth coming money?  Like Astrology with simple daily newspaper forecasts; there are those that reduce the meanings of the cards into bulk mundane interpretations.

Here I think I am being asked to examine the way I make my money.  Am I satisfied with how I earn my money?
This gentleman has earned or inherited his money and has invested in gold coins.  Why?  Maybe gold is considered a safe investment, but if the world goes dark what can you buy with gold when food, housing, clothing, candles, and chocolate are more valuable than gold.  So it reminds me to work at something that is satisfying and fulfills me.  Not to work just for the sake of working and acquiring money.  Sure I need a roof over my head and the daily comforts of living, but do I need to think ahead to stockpiling cash?  (Well maybe some)

Every year for the last ten years or so someone in Louisville, across the river from my vantage point, has placed a gold krugerrand in a Salvation Army kettle during the Christmas campaign.  Someone invested and collected the gold coins and now is anonymously gifting.  I guess that is one way to spend your gold.

At Last!

The mythical 'Money Tree'  I have heard about this tree for years.  My parents always said money doesn't grow on trees and yet there are stories and tales of the money tree, and here it is.

Would a money tree solve problems or create them?  I think more of the latter.  Once word got out, you have to spend all your time and resources protecting the money tree.  Still dreams are built on such fantasies.  Unlimited financial abundance, whew wee.
This month of Gratitude is sharpening my focus of the abundance in my life.  I am truly blessed.  Home, family, friends, books, car with a door handle that works, opportunities.  I have food, heat, electric, and water in my home.  Family and friends to share the good and not so good.  Comfort, clothes, and chocolate.  Life is good.  Still a money tree...

I am super grateful for all that I am blessed with.
