This or That?

I am not listening.

Shut down and tuned out.  This card reminds me of the times I catch myself with my arms crossed at the chest.  When I realize that I am in that posture, I immediately think what is going on that has put me in a defensive posture of detachment?    I have learned to pay attention not only to myself but others.  What is being said that I or another has begun to withdrawal from the conversation?

Then I took a second look and thought she is a merperson, left the sea for some shore-time and now she has to choose, and she can't.  What can one do when a choice so needed can't be made?

  1. Makes me think of a time-out; not a bad thing, unless you never leave the corner!

  2. believe it or not if it comes to can't decide, really can't decide, I flip a coin. If I feel bad about the side that won, it means I actually want the other, just wasn't ready to admit or claim it.

    1. I never flip the coin for a choice, crazy that, since I will ask the cards for direction on a choice. Both about the same really

  3. The Two of Swords is one of my favorite cards any deck. Like Bev I see this card as an permission to breathe and wait until I know what to do

    1. I see it as holding one's breath while waiting, which shallow breathing usually makes one more fearful. Lovely that we see a difference, makes life interesting.
