Paper and Pen please

Most of the interpretations of this card give us - illusions, daydreams, fantasies, and unproductive time on wishful thinking.  The Daydream card.  Most do not give us a real meaning or description of the front and center cup with the draped and hidden figure?

What are our wishes made of?  Of the unknown, treasures, home, wealth, knowledge, wisdom, of a significant other?  I have also seen this card as to what we do in our daily lives; seven days a week kind of thing.  What is it with that hidden figure and the red fringe that clearly calls attention to that cup, and why has it not drawn my attention before?  Maybe I am unsure what I really wish for?  Maybe the time has come to write it down and really decide what I want to do with my days to come.  Pull my head out of the clouds and make a clear and decisive choice.  Sounds good to me.

  1. One of Waite's little jokes I think, He liked to tout his knowledge of the Gold Dawn secrets with hidden hints in the cards. It looks like Christmas tree trim that tastes good to snakes :)

  2. Maybe he represents the desires/needs we ourselves are not yet aware of. I like to draw soemtimes four cards: what do I want, what do I need and what do I really want, what do I really need.

  3. I always thought it represented the 'higher self' (aka luminous mind that is full of wisdom and compassion). Opposite of the ego.

    1. I would think that would be more light- white or yellow for the luminous. Maybe the red is more the ego?

  4. Until this moment that has always been Napolean's hat to me...

Deciding what you most want to do sounds good but you don't have to decide it all in a day. Things lead to things :)

    1. I like that - things lead to things. And of course you are correct, things do lead to things.

Be Well

My thoughts today are with a friend that is undergoing a major surgery, one that impacts her life. Sending healing energy and loving though...
