Teacher

The Keeper of Tradition

I am entranced with this feminine version of the Hierophant.  I have started several drafts and yet I cannot string the words together to define what feelings she evokes within me. She appears much softer than her masculine counter-part and yet she must be just as disciplined, as a Keeper of Tradition.
The booklet advise me to maintain a spiritual practice of prayer, meditation, and gratitude. So I believe I will spend some extra time and thought with this card.

  1. she is an amalgam of a number of majors isn't she? I had a whip around of Hierophant google images, I saw only 2 female and 1 neutral. We do become all we learn don't we?

    1. I too went looking and found one. There are many female Hierophants. The first thought is all those "Mother Superiors" in the Catholic tradition.

  2. Maintaining a spiritual practice us hundred times more difficult than starting one

    1. I wonder how different my life might be if I got up every morning and dedicated 1 hours to meditation and prayer. Something to think about.

  3. The feminine side of spirituality - give rather than get. That's a refreshing take of the Hierophant!

    1. I just returned home after working the morning and most of afternoon. I think I will step into the card and become her acolyte for the evening.

Be Well

My thoughts today are with a friend that is undergoing a major surgery, one that impacts her life. Sending healing energy and loving though...
