Mirror Mirror

I am sixty.  When I look in the mirror I look sixty and sometimes when I look in the mirror I experience a slight gasp at the reflection.

Now in my mind's eye I see the forty something Carolyn.  It is always just a wee bit of a surprise when the older version of me looks back.
I was invited to a Derby Party yesterday afternoon.  Not that many people were there, just a small gathering, and I was the youngest.  Gone are those younger days of partying, still I can find others to enjoy my time with.

  1. a derby party would suit me fine, I have Lots of hats :)
On the other hand I'm so afraid of horses I've only recently been able to even touch one. Oh well, there has to be a weirdo in every crowd.

  2. I forget that I've aged until I see an acquaintance I haven't seen in a long time and experience the shock of how much older they look. Then I realize they are probably thinking the same thing about me. :D

Be Well

My thoughts today are with a friend that is undergoing a major surgery, one that impacts her life. Sending healing energy and loving though...
