                                         Friends

What makes a friend? Is it our eyes? Our skin? Our conditionings? Relationships can come from a place of need or safety or common history but friendships are born of contentment and acceptance.  Friends make of this earth a pleasant place to live. They come from different corners, times, families, and events but true friendships see not barriers or boundaries or restrictions in the pleasure of sharing lives together. Friends are there for each other, no matter the weather. Today is the perfect time to connect with a treasured friend.

  1. What a sweet card! I've found friends in the strangest places, and they often come from very different backgrounds than me. As you said, friendships are born of acceptance. :)

    1. I love dragons. Maybe I used to ride them in another time. Maybe it was all those Fairy Tales I read as a younger girl.

  2. True friends are rare so when you find them you'd better keep them close. :)

    1. I think this dragon rescued that fox from the hunt and they became steadfast friends.

  3. I finished listening to the Hobbit last week, wherein he sets in motion the conditions which ended Smaug. Your post led me to look for my post on stomping George the dragon slayer, and gave me some good laughs, I'm surprised at how many dragons are on the cards and how often I take their side. I'm going to use my Sue Lion combined deck next week, in honor of dragons and thou.

  4. The Hobbit? J.R.R. Tolkien quote "never laugh at live dragons."
