I'm Waiting

All dressed up with no where to go. This happens to me in my sales career.  I get ready for the appointment, prepare the information that is pertinent to the client, gather myself and the things I need, make sure my car is clean and shiny (first appearances and all) and - and the client calls and cancels the appointment.  There I sit just waiting and wondering 'now what'?

It can be frustrating to say the least.  I have been doing what I do for a lot of years and it doesn't bother me as much, mostly I go with the flow.  If it wasn't meant to be it wasn't meant to be, so at least the time before the appointment is all that was wasted, possibly. This Knight is still young in the saddle and he is not quite so seasoned.  Maybe I could do a little mentoring for someone just getting started early on in their career.  I will look for the opportunity to help someone along today.

"To be or not to be, that is the question."

  1. I was in real estate in Oregon for a number of years. I don't know if getting stood up is better or worse than turning out to be a little old lady that was just looking for a ride to the grocery. "oh, by the way, would you mind pulling in here for just a minute?" Gurrrr
