Tidings

Season's Greetings

It's the Holiday Season.  Yesterday I finished up addressing my holiday postcards for mailing to clients and customers.  The other day when I was getting my haircut I was flipping through Martha Stewart's LIVING Magazine and she had a calendar of her December events.  On December 8th she had marked - mail Christmas Cards.  Good enough for me - so out in the mail goes my Christmas mailing today.
I am always tickled this time of year with the debate of is it... 'Happy Holidays' or 'Merry Christmas' Every year the same question.  For me it is Merry Christmas.  For a nod to all those out there in confusion I am went with HAPPY CHRISTMAS for my postcard salutation.

  1. You are such a clever girl. Christmas cards were always may favorite part of the holiday. When stamps went to 20 cents most of my compatriots stopped. I kept it up about five years more, then let it go also. Mother's was always the first one in the door, the older she got the earlier her cards arrived. All apropo of nothing..as usual.

    1. appropo, might be a good word for me for 2017. I don't always mail postcards at Christmas. Mostly just cards to family, friends, some near and dear clients, and the ones that are celebrating their first year in home. This year I ordered a couple of hundred postcards and sent to a lot of people. Tis the Season.

  2. People here in the Bible Belt get rabid about saying Merry Christmas and attack people who don't. Which is hilarious to me, because that goes against the whole idea of 'peace and goodwill to all!'

    1. Peace and goodwill to all, as long as it conforms to their way. So much worry, fear, and hate mongering. You think everyone it would put it in the closet, at least for the holidays.

Be Well

My thoughts today are with a friend that is undergoing a major surgery, one that impacts her life. Sending healing energy and loving though...
