Knowledge

The classroom would have been so much fun if Froggie, Owl, and Dragon were my classmates.  Oh what delightful mischief and magic there could have been.

I need to remind myself that my classroom of Life is not yet over.  Maybe these three have shown up to say, "come on Carolyn lets do something new and learn something new in the New Year.

"Double double toil and trouble
 Fire burn and caldron bubble...
Eye of newt and toe of frog...
 Lizards leg and owlets wing...
 Scale of dragon...

Different parts of stanzas by the Three Witches in Macbeth by William Shakespeare.
I wonder if Mr. Shakespeare was part of a Coven and that's where he got the inspiration for Macbeth?

For me I think I will make a big pot of winters stew, who knows what might be tossed in the cauldron.

  1. What charming companions you have this day. Froggy with no sticks, but leaning on the pot as if to say Come on in the water is fine. I wish I'd lived when dragons could be seen. I'd probably have been cold and hungry, but what a sight to see. Rob made me a dragon pancake a few days ago. Who knew he knew about that special longing.

    1. I too love the thought of dragons. What a wonder your hubby is to make you dragon pancakes.

  2. I can't imagine having nothing else to learn - how boring. And I have to give nature its due - the natural world has been my most influential teacher.

    1. There is always something more to learn; one of things that make life adventurous. This next year I am going to work on Feng Shui, really commit to the study and art of it. Also new styles of cooking. I realize I eat a lot of frozen card board containers of food. That is going to change in 2017

Be Well

My thoughts today are with a friend that is undergoing a major surgery, one that impacts her life. Sending healing energy and loving though...
