The Siren's call

I miss the ocean, being able to walk out into the salted waters and feel the swirls and eddies around my feet and legs; the pull of the water to venture forward, the Ocean's soft call to wade deeper.  Since my trauma incident ten years ago I have not really ventured in, my legs not able to withstand the to and fro and pull from the currents. Last year I made a trip to the beach and only went down to the surfside once because of my instability; it saddened me deeply, so much so, one week after returning I had my cardiac event. I watched a woman this morning, on the beach cam of my favorite beach area, imagining her to be about my age. She walked slowly into the water and stood for a bit looking out searching or communing or being and for a moment, I too, was standing in the water, filled with joy at returning. I hear the Siren's call and hope to return.

Look and Listen

This Queen of Cups has some rather large ears, better for listening.  There is that old saying "two ears and one mouth." Today I need to look and listen. Someone may need to be heard or there is something I need to hear.  Since this is a Queen of Cups it may indicate that taking my time to listen to another will be a very good thing. Either way I need to pay attention to what is being said.

Prickly

"If you prick us, do we not bleed"

Sometimes our emotions can get the better of us. Even Queens can get over emotional about the smallest of things.

Give people a 'benefit of doubt.' We don't really know what is going on with them and what they may be dealing with.

Trust the process

Another day in a forest, this one beneath the sea. Definitely getting the vibe to spend time in open the wonderlands of Nature. Too much time indoors is not good for the soul.  This Queen of Cups belongs to wherever she is at the moment. To be in the moment, that's where I belong.

We are both

When the struggle is real and chaos is all around you, seek out that which comforts. No need to go through it alone. Even wrapping yourself in loving memories helps soothe away the anxiety.

A helping hand, an encouraging word can go a long way; Giver and Receiver, we are both throughout life.

Splash

We would all love the opportunity to meet a mermaid. Allen who meets Madison, who he thought was really a childhood imagination, is amazed, frightened, and embarrassed after her big reveal.  Most of us hide behind our masks and in moments of the big reveal to others or even ourselves, we can become frightened. Lovely thought if we could shake of those trappings and be who we really are. The me of me, we were meant to be.

Tune in

The Winter's white is all encompassing outside my window. Movement only found in the dance of drifting snowflakes. Frozen silence, yet still, there is the heartbeat of The Earth below, if I listen well and true. Lately I seem to be like those snowflakes adrift on the wind. The Queen reminds me that in my silence to tune in and listen truly to the beat of my own heart.

Easy peasy

The Queen of Cups has joined the King who stopped by yesterday.  His stability with her support is a win-win situation.  I have several issues that have parked on my doorstep and this Watery Pair are reminding me not to let my emotions get the better of me.  Let the solutions flow to me and so far they have.  Like my watery cousins, ride the waves and not swim against the tide.  Easier going that way.
With the Queen's meditative pose she also may be suggesting that quiet contemplation is also an acceptable response.

Traveling mode.  How to get from here to there. Whether by foot or fin I will find my way.  Listen to your heart to help find your way.

Perplexed

I have no idea why she is visiting today.  Nothing.  I look at her rising up from the water; that's enough to catch my attention.  All I can of think of is why is she not dripping wet?
First appearance can be deceiving.  I am baffled.

People who need people

I have never drawn back to back to back and then more people cards.  Here and there they stop by but this week I have had a lot of company.  This Queen of Cups made a visit from her watery depths.  Do you they have a lot to say, so that I need to listen, or do I have something to say so they are waiting for me to pass-by so they can listen?

Why not me?

Listen to what the heart says and the Heart says "Why not?"
Decide.
The song "Why not me" by the Judds has been looping in my inner ear for about a week now.  Woke up last Sunday morning to the tune playing in my head, and it has been continually playing through out the days.  Guess my mind and heart are trying to tell me something.  Today I am gifting myself a trip to the Sea.  I got to get a dose of Vitamin Sea for some healing a restoration.  Definitely Queen of Cups advice.

Queens

"The world has changed. I see it the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air."  Galadriel ~ The Lord of the Rings

Right now on Middle Earth we are at a pivotal point. Do we move on or regress.  I have always felt that we will learn and move on, but there are shadows that cannot not be ignored.  For most of my life I have associated more with the Queen of Pentacles; now I seem to be morphing into a Queen of Cups.  The despair of the world weighs heavy.

"Much that once was is lost. For none now live who remember it." Galadriel, the last stanza of the quote above.

Peace and Compassion are indeed needed.

Becoming

Last night I gave myself a bit of not so good news.  I then told myself to not let it worry me, that time has a way of working things out. Of course I had a restless night  So this morning I asked myself how to bring the balance back. A course of action, at least for today; reminding myself, today is all I really have anyway.
The Queen of Cups, is she human becoming mermaid?  Or Mermaid Queen in her watery depths?
Sometimes things are not what they appear to be.

Hello

Every-time I see this card, it calls me to go to the ocean.  Nothing scheduled, maybe time to make plans.  Salted air and sea breezes. I bought a t-shirt yesterday that had "call me on my shell"

In the flow

When working with emotions, we need to connect to the water within.  The Queen of Cups knows about ebb and flow.  We ebb and flow.  The water in our bloodstream and lymph system, the moisture in our lungs, the tears that we shed, our bodies are in movement.
I guess I better start drinking more water.  I notice I feel better when I drink mostly water.  Ahh I do like my diet pepsi.
It is going to rain all day, weather I am sure the Queen of Cups would enjoy

Well, let's see.

I really do love the artwork with this deck of cards.  The soft pastels and animals really are lovely.  As a tarot deck or oracle, it doesn't speak to me.  Yesterday I looked at the elephant on the card of Strength and got nothing so I wrote nothing, kind of a strength in silence?  This Queen of Cups makes me think of my kitty this morning, who is happily snoozing away on my bed.  It's daylight right, so that is where you will find her.
The only other thing I can gather from this card as an oracle is taking stock of what was, to help with what will be or could be.  An inventory type of day? maybe as long as I don't work in my bedroom and disturb the cat.

Resolutions

New Year's resolutions.  A lot of years I had made a list of things that I wanted to do, complete, conquer, experience, or manage to do over the upcoming year.  Most years the list was identical to the previous year...so much for lists.  I realized that this year I did not even consider drafting 'a list.'  Amazing.  Getting through each year is enough on its own, and definitely worth celebrating.  So here it is the eighth day of January and so far so good with no list, and even better, I won't feel like I failed myself because I didn't get the list accomplished.
This Queen of Cups asks me what do you want to do? Well mostly I just want to enjoy my days without the worry of what next.

Unique

Do we keep what is unique and special about ourselves locked in our private container of ourselves?  That is such a personalized cup that the Queen is holding.  What if I would be, could be my most authentic self all of the time.  Time to open the chalice and find those bits of this n that of me that have been stored away.

Questions questions questions

This Queen of Cups seemingly is asking, "Well?"
Well what?
I heard myself saying the other day, "I don't want to do this anymore."  The next time I hear myself saying that I am going to turn right around and ask myself "Well what do you want to do?"
Answer it from the heart not the mind.

Be Well

My thoughts today are with a friend that is undergoing a major surgery, one that impacts her life. Sending healing energy and loving though...
