Poof gone

 

Well heck. The gods of misfortune are having their way with me. I was just about finished with a lovely, thoughtful post about change and poof, gone. Same occurrence yesterday with Strength, with my post disappearing twice, poof gone, so I just left the daily post with the card and no words. Maybe both posts were just a bunch of blither and poof they were gone. Who knows? I could try to rewrite the post for today, but it would not be the same as I had written, maybe close, but different. That's the thing about change; Change changes things. Ask ourselves if we could change one thing and if that change occurred we would not be the same person or at the exact same place to ask that question "if you could change one thing?" Makes my head spin. The Wheel of Fortune - step right up, go ahead take a spin.

No rhyme, no reason

 

I had one of the weirdest dreams I think I have ever had last night. No way have I ever experienced anything remotely like that, so I wonder how did my subconscious mind fabricate that? Within the dream there was a part of me that knew I was dreaming, and yet I could not shake myself awake. I finally shook myself out of it when I encountered a group of maybe fifty big hairy yetis. Vicious and destructive, I hid amongst a big pile of debris as they ran off into the distance, and yet I think two remained aware that I was hiding and were waiting to ambush me. At that point I told myself to wake up because I did not want to experience whatever they might do to me. I sat up for the longest time asking my higher-self what was that about? What message was I supposed to get? And how the heck did my mind come up with a murderous chase ending with a bigfoot encounter? Was it a 'Whisper of Fortune" Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason to what our mind frames and we just have to shake it off. Sometimes there is no answer.

The Wheel of Fortune, step right up and take a spin. Well actually everyday we are on the Wheel of Fortune. Today marks the half-way point in the year. The Earth continues her spin and spun off another minute of daylight in my part of the world; that's two minutes since the the Solstice. The shorter daylight timing is not noticeable yet, but the spinning wheel reminds me that change is always part of lives. Day in, Day out. I need to notice how I spend my days. We don't get the time back, enjoy it wisely.
