There is excitement this morning at The Berry College Eagles Nest.  Today is the day that there will be babies in the nest. About 3 years or so ago, my friend Bev K told me about webcam viewing of this nest and I have been following since.  Today looks to be the day. The adult eagle pair is staying close and some possible peeps have been heard when the pair change places on the nest. Egg-citing!  Life renews itself and this is a lovely reminder that it does.

If you are going to work or play with Fire, best to practice lots. Skill sets are not innate. It takes dedication of time and work to hone a skill. A professional and an incompetent both will catch the eye. one in appreciation the other with a snort of derision. 

I am ready to start something new in my life. The advice here is to not jump on my horse and do it, but to take the time to learn and practice.  Ever see someone try to get on a horse that did not know what they were doing? Mostly they fail and if they do get up, the horse throws them off.

This Knight of Wands has given some thought to his quest.  His fire energy is focused and prepared and his pony is too.  Talk about first impressions.  He grabs our attention and we are fascinated with what and who he is.

I cannot decide if the plant on the top of his helmet is a gift or the sprout of a new idea he brings to us to consider. Either way he has not come empty handed. The big spiky club means he intends to garner our attention one way or the other.

Something new presents itself to me today, I best stop and give it some consideration.

Hurry up and wait

Since my energy pattern seems to be stagnant, this Knight of Wands is more about inaction. Delays have caused a restlessness, evident in the increase of my Restless Leg Syndrome at night. Hurry up and wait indeed.  My energy is confused and infrequent.  I want to move forward but indecision has me pawing at the ground.
To stay or go? As with all Knights the answer is go. I just need to get my saddle ready and get a move on.  Maybe a nap first.

We are all on our way somewhere.  Most of us do travel the same well marked path, it's just easier.  I am surprised that this Knight of Wands is not out forging a new trail?  Riding side-saddle may have something to do with it.  Some days call for a bit more caution, other we kick up our heels. Today calls for a more gentle ride from here to there.  I am off to the BMV for new plates and registration for my new-to-me transportation.  I fear it will be a hurry up and wait kind of day.

The fire might be tamped down as we age, yet there are still things that are worth doing; worth getting out there.  I recently mentioned that even as I age there is a part of me that seems much younger. Sixty-three and in my mind's eye, Forty-five.

Which way from here?  The boys in charge have got us running in circles.  Something else for me to worry about.

Another people card and a second Knight in three days.  Thoughtful action with the Knight of Swords. This Knight of Wands-"lets storm the castle," action without much thought behind it.
I wonder who the message bearer will be?  Maybe these cousins will travel together.  Nothing like being 'tagged teamed' to get my attention.

Idk about all those candles, especially worn on a head full of hair?  Distracting from the energy of a knight of wands. 
Today I see a new nurse practitioner, maybe she will have red hair and some new ideas of treatment on the condition of my legs.  I have not been on a knight's adventure or expedition in a while, so hopefully something to lesson the nerve damage issues.  I am not about doctors, those masked white coat demigods; so I have shied away from the profession.  Recommended by a friend, hopefully she will be more enlightened.

What you see is what you get?
Not by a long shot.  I look at myself in the mirror everyday and I say to others "I look in the mirror everyday and I know who I am"  but do I?  There are days I am clueless at the person looking back at me.  How did I get this old? When did the lines in my face blur along with sight lines of Life?  Day in day out trudging along, am I becoming a automaton?  Are we all?
Oh well going to shelf that.  The Sun is out, we have had so many months of cloud cover, I am going to finish up my daily tasks at the office and go take a drive in the sunshine.

Z and Z

Recently I have been wondering about the places I Zigged instead of Zagged. Left and Right turns in my Life. Destinations and Goals planned and then forgotten.  How much have I missed by not traveling more? Sometimes I can get lost in such thoughts wondering what I missed. Then I reflect on the good things I have encountered along the way that I would have missed if I zagged and not zigged.   I guess the better question to ask myself is what direction the future will hold.  What and where do I want to go and do with the time I have, however much sand is left in the hour glass of Carolyn?

I could use some this knight's energy to get me going, cause my 'get up and go, got up and went.'  Maybe some foot tapping music will get me moving and grooving.
I guess knights are not always ready to be on the move, but since royalty requires it she/he does what must.  So what are my musts today?  Start with that and see if the momentum builds. If not I will just complete the journey of the parameter of my home.
Maybe just work on my Goals List for 2019.

Thinking on this Page after his/her trials of the nine and ten.  Worth proven, now has the fortitude to move up to apprenticeship for Queendom or Kingdom.  Thinking a thing and making it so.
"Cogito Ergo Sum" which I have used before as an explanation of the King of Wands.  Who and what we are and think, are some childhood programming and some of the things we have encountered in our lives.  Do we achieve or capitulate?  A lot of it is determined by what we think of ourselves.  We are only defeated when we give up on ourselves.

Let's get a move on!

I wonder how giddy-up got started.  I am pretty sure horses and I know bunnies do not know what giddy-up means.  The horse responds to the spurs or heels of the rider digging into their flanks.  Bunnies I am sure, can only be ridden by fairies who probably do the same to them.
Makes me think of the saying, 'my get up and go, got up and went.'
Time for me to take action on my day and giddy-up and go!

This Knight of Wands has a clever way with words, otherwise how could he convince a rabbit to saddle him and take him for a jaunt?

Today it is supposed to be all rain.  Good day to stay in and maybe do some sales calls and see if I can connect with a few clients for now and the future.  I was never really 'clever' with words.  I am all the straight out approach.  If I can help I will, if not, I am on my way. This seems to be a somewhat sedate Knight.  Same familiar path to the village.  I find it a bit amusing that there is a sign post giving the knight direction to the obvious village in the distance.
This feels like me, taking the same path everyday.  Boredom.  That is why this knight plods along, the energy has been channeled to do the same thing day in and day out.

Time to find a different way of doing things.

Haste makes waste

Hurry up and wait.

This knight makes me think of all of those that are in too big of a hurry.  I notice it a lot out driving with all the aggressive drivers.  People that get behind you and ride your bumper trying to push you to go faster.  Finally they will swing out in the passing lane and rush by just to sit at the traffic light ahead.  What's the big hurry?  How much is really accomplished by saving a minute or two in such a big rush?
I can be a bit guilty of getting in a bit of a rush from time to time.  Not so much anymore.  The days and years speed by fast enough.
