Nocebo

Negative expectation. I wonder how often we bring the worry and anxiety to our door because we worry ourselves to the point of its occurrence?  This morning all is well in my world, but the draw of this card had me thinking "oh no what now?"  If I start looking for shadows then I know I will find them. There are days when we are the cause and effect of what seemingly goes wrong, so therefore we can be the cause and effect of all that is right.

Counsel my thoughts

Yesterday's Page of Swords had me thinking I had dealt with the difficulties of the nine and ten of swords, and yet here I am immersed in the anxiety of the Nine again. Another night of sleeplessness. The war in Europe weighs heavily and watching the reports of despair and destruction is contributing to my anxiety.  I think the weight of darkness and despair is aloft in the ethers and coating us all with shadow thoughts.

boo hoo

I can commiserate with this sorrowful wolf. She has made one attempt after another with no success and is feeling sorry for herself.  Me, my misery is tech at the moment and a cold that seemingly now on its way out of my system, yay for that, but boo hoo for my techie issues. The tv remote is not working and my printer decide to quit yesterday. What to do?  Since I am feeling better, get up and get out and replace the defunct equipment.  I realized that we are in the midst of a Mercury Retrograde, which may explain why my equipment is on the fritz; that or it is old stuff. I will blame it on Mercury and his high-jinxs.  Give me a moment why I wallow.

Resolution

A perfect duet on this last day of 2021. A reminder of things that didn't work out and the hope for better days ahead.  To make room for those things and events hoped for I have to let go of old thoughts and feelings.

I have been paying closer attention to those thoughts that don't serve me. When I think of how others are acting or how they have done me wrong, then I am giving my energy to them. I going to work on conditioning that mindset and hopefully keep more of my energy for me, not wasted on clueless others.

No Lingering Allowed

We all find ourselves here from time to time. And yes we are allowed the time to grieve, and cry, and piss and moan. Then comes the point we have to move on. The sorrow will be a part of us always, and shapes the way we move forward, but move forward we must.

Expectation

Caution: Rough Day ahead!

Will it be a rough day because some days just are? Or will it be a rough day because the suggestibility of this card is now framed in my mind and I will make it a rough day because I thought it?  Do I stay home to avoid any possible mishaps or challenge myself to get on with it and deal with whatever may come my way?

We do what we must given the circumstances. Today I will meet any challenges head on a hope for the best.

Reconciliation

I had a visitation during the night.  An acquaintance from a time ago.  I think it was a goodbye of sorts and most definitely a quest of forgiveness.  I heard the word 'Reconciliation' spoken in a program yesterday and it has been swirling in my pre-frontal cortex in contemplation. I think the reconciliation is more for myself.  I am exhausted from me disagreeing with me.  My own internal monologue is what keeps me up on those long nights.
'Decide,' my year word; deciding to let old hurts and frustrations go. Release and leave them behind me where they belong.

Candle in the dark?

When you wake deep in the night and decide to do a draw to find what might be the cause of your restlessness and worry.  Well this draw brought no comfort, in fact sleep was evasive the rest of the night.  My first thought was whoa, how much darkness! and then, the theme of bondage became the second variant that was noticeable.  Almost too dark to work my way through, but I must.

By the light

By the light of the Silvery Moon.  Not necessarily all things that keep us awake into the night are worrisome, fear based, or bad dreams.  A Full Moon shining through the window panes can be bright enough to wake us.  Interrupted sleep regardless of reasons why can make us a bit draggy and less productive the following day.   All in all, a glimpse of a lovely Full Moon, is worth a little less sleep here and there.

Needless worry

Late yesterday a client presented me with a problem on the sale of home and of course, made it mine.  Even though nothing could be done about, at least last evening, I took it to bed with me.  I had a long talk with myself to not do exactly that and yet I let the worry snuggle in with me.  Two steps forward and then back to my needless worry. I have always thought my career in sales was a life-lesson plan for me to learn to release and let go, so far I am grading out at C-

Insomnia

There are different things that keep me awake at night.
Worries, concerns, replaying conversations, long nap earlier in the day, stress, pizza, caffeine, inactivity.
Why the fox is worried about being awake at night, a mystery.  Which too can keep one awake.

Be Well

My thoughts today are with a friend that is undergoing a major surgery, one that impacts her life. Sending healing energy and loving though...
