I really have no inspiration with this card this morning. The Ace of Wands hopefully would fill me with inspiration, new ideas, some get up and go. Most of my thoughts this morning and yesterday afternoon are focused on a person who I thought at her core was a friend, but yesterday beneath her exterior I glimpsed a snake in sheep's clothing. I wonder if it has more to do with my down-cast mood or I have been excusing it for the last year and a half?  So I guess my Ace of Wands inspiration is leaving something behind in search of something better? Respect for myself.

Typically the Ace of Wands is a positive card; possible success for starting something new.  This Ace makes me think of  taking the stick they tried to beat you with and turning it turn your own advantage. Sometimes the beginning of something new is fraught with turmoil, upsetting the applecart per se.  Getting something started may take all kinds of initiative to get it going. Using another's own argument to win the day, is always an option.  Roarrrrr, go get 'em.

I can't seem to get beyond the image of the fox as a pole dancer.  It crowds other possibilities out of my head.  As Alice said, she thinks of six impossible things before breakfast.
Everything may not seem as it appears today.
Instead of an Ace of Wands, it may be club to knock me on my noggin.

Unexpected gift

Succulent cherries in such a dry environment?  Not something normally found.  That's the thing about unexpected gifts, most always a delightful surprise; sometimes not, but mostly. 
It is raining this morning and will be all day long, an end to the drought in our area.  The air quality here in the Ohio Valley has been miserable, so a good rinse is a gift of the rain.  Promises for the Spring plantings, so a balance in the earth will be returned.  My car gets a good rinsing as well.  I will take the lovely gift of The Ace of Wands on this sweet Saturday.  Bright Blessings.

Opportunity!  My next thought was let's take this stick out for a drive.  Ha.  If something new presents itself today, then today would be the day to give it a go or warrant some serious attention. 

I Choose

I saw a number of references to dragons yesterday. Coincidence? I think not.  A blog post, commercial, and ad, and an email on dragons.  It is only appropriate to ask a Fire Dragon to appear and bring in Summer today.  The Summer Solstice is later this morning, just before the noon hour. 
Did that dragon start the fire or just drawn to her element? I think the latter. They are so rare that dragons have gone into hiding and would not draw attention to themselves.
For today in honor of the longest day of the year, I will acknowledge anything and everything unusual and unique.  Take a moment and appreciate.

Hypo - Caution

I could use a hypodermic shot of this fire energy.  Ace of Fire/Ace of Wands.  One for the money...go, go, go.
Now that fairy sitting on the brass casing of the lantern I am not  so sure about; talk about feeling the heat. 
I would not say this will be a wands day for me at all.  I am draggy with intermittent sleep patterns, making me a dull Carolyn for sure.  If I got too close to the fire, I would get burnt.
So caution is the word for me today.

Hopefully I will get a glimpse of something new today.  Put a little pep in my step. This stretch of hot weather is dragging me and everyone around down.  Mid nineties and high humidity.  We do get a little break for the weekend when the humidity tapers off for a few days.  Maybe it is a gestation time here?  I will look for a burst of something new today.  Ace of Wands, yes I will take a little of that, thank you!

Sometimes I think this Ace portends some lucky happenstance.  Being in the right place at the right time.  For the better part of my life I have been fairly lucky.  Little bits of coin or better yet spending paper show up.  I win little gift cards here and there.  I am also aware that I have some not-so-lucky days and weeks. A few of those times have stretched into months, nay I say a year, whew; they pass, thank goodness.
So for today I think it will be a good day, maybe if I am really lucky, a really good day.  That's what gifts are for, to be enjoyed and grateful when received.

The spark of momentum

In most decks the Ace of Wands leads the pack of the pips.  Like the Fool it is the spark of momentum that helps lead the way, or begins us on the path to somewhere.  When I first drew this card impetuous was the word that came to mind.  I am not sure that the Ace of Wands/Fire is about being Impetuous, but this ace can sure give us a spontaneous spark of insight. Impetuous must be my watch word of the day.

Read instructions carefully

I receive several gifts for Christmas that require some instructional information.  With all the fire power of the Ace of Wands, it should come with a set of instructions.  Used wisely and oh the magic that it can create,  haphazardly, watch out.
Not sure what to do with my Wand today, so I think I will lay it on the my desk top and wait for further instructions.

Suitable environment

I drew the Ace of Wands again today, emergence.  I decided to place the card back in the deck and reshuffle asking where this Ace was directing me, where to direct all this fire energy that is coming to me and at me?  After the shuffle I went looking for the Ace and  the card immediately following, the Ten of Earth/Pentacles.

Interesting, Ten being a higher octave than One/Ace.  Mostly though I felt like a snake would be more comfortable in the forest, a natural habitat; that is unless you were a water snake. 
The forest with all it's lovely trees, lots of old growth, still, the forest is ever changing.  The foreground tree stump show new growth.  All animals and things complete their cycle of life and new life takes it place, ever changing.  Maybe that is the message of the Ace of Fire/Wands these last two days.  I am making a switch in my sales career moving from outside sales to inside sales.  Something new from the old ways.  A new path to follow and the energy to take it.

Are snakes mostly vilified because the whole garden of eden mysticism? 

This baby snake is just emerging from her egg.  No oohs and aahs for her.  Baby turtle, bird, cat, dog, giraffe, human - yes indeedy, not the poor lowly snake.  Snakes are such a benefit for Planet Earth and obviously they fulfill a need or they would be extinct.
The message for me today is to not dismiss something that I might find contrary or not in accord with my way of thinking.  As with Aces something new might be found in my day and I should give it's due.

The Ace of Wands.  What a auspicious card to draw at the start of the week.

All that wonderful energy.  I need it.  I am fascinated by the little wren that is about to perch on the wands end.  Such a little bird to be able to sing such a loud and lovely song.  Just reminded me of the quote to do with -' even the smallest among you can make a change', or something like that.   I have been in a holding pattern in my life and it is a bit of a bore; hopefully all this wand energy of late suggests that a bit of vitality and something new is about shine through in my life. 
And I can 'cherry pick' what I want to do with that energy.  Ha!
