Look and find

 

I have had a trying couple of days; energy is waning and not much to get up and dance about.  And that is exactly the time to get up and do a little jig, put a little pep in our steps. I can, we can, always find just a bit of something to get our toes a 'tappin'. A song, a good memory, the laughter of a child, bears, kitties, bunnies, or unicorns. Here's to Friday, the only one this week, that is something to celebrate!

Today we celebrate my B.I.L. birthday. I really don't don't want to get out in the bitter cold to do the lunch thing, but my sister and her husband are  my tribe; the three of us do lots together. So I will bundle up and spend my afternoon out of my hut and gather with them as they have done with me. I did bake a cake and there is ice cream in the freezer, so there is a sweet treat when we return from lunch.  We gather and share with those we love, even on cold, winter days.  The sharing takes some of the chill off as well.

Quotidian, never have I came across this word before. A fancy word for everyday occurrences.  I like this word. Instead of saying I had a so so day or a boring day, " I had a quotidian day."  Put a little spin on the our day to day life, which of course is ours to make and do with as we please. Celebrate the day(s) while we can, when we can, where we can. It's a good day to have a good day.

They brought along one for show and tell. A day like most others and they thought they would give themselves a bit of merriment before returning home and tending to the flock and other homestead chores.

It's a Sign!

 

After stepping through the magical doorway yesterday and not really sure if the correct choice was made, I encountered these three dancing bears. All misgivings vanish from my mind. Surely it is a sign.  Laughter bubbles up and I want to throw caution to the window and jump in and dance with them.  They may not appreciate being startled so I will laugh and clap with glee and move along.  Not everyday on the path will be so magical, but I will remember to enjoy myself along the way.

There are times I can get so carried away by my emotions that I become swept away.  The infusion of happy or sad can overwhelm. I cannot change what I am not aware of, so for today I am going to pay close attention to the range of emotions that I experience.

Strategy

 

When a plan comes together, time to lift your cups and congratulate yourself.  First though make sure you have a plan, then prepare and implement.  Nothing comes from nothing, so bringing it all together requires getting started.  That's the snag, getting started.  

The year is just about half-way through. What didn't I get started on that I planned at first of year. Still six months to implement and complete.

From time to time we can ask ourselves, 'where do you see yourself in the next six months, next year, next five years?' I have always found that a difficult task. Today is really all we have and five years from now, who could possibly know.  Looking at these three playing and frolicking in the water, would be a lovely vision. Enjoying their days as they come. I am sure otters don't think of tomorrow at all, just the lovely moment with family and friends. That is something to raise our Cups to!

I would enjoy the opportunity to join this group of happy go lucky bears. I wonder if I encounter them in the forest if they would let me join or have me for a celebration dinner? That's the thing about joining a new something something. Sometimes the risk is worth the outcome and that is something to celebrate. It worked out for Goldilocks.

Nope, i do not have that get up and dance feeling.  I do have lots to be thankful and grateful for, but dancing, ehh.
Maybe something interesting will develop today.

Celebrate

Mercury went direct yesterday, Yay! I do give credence to a good bit of Astrology's edicts.  Mercury retrograde is one of them.  Though planets never spin backwards, the illusion can be convincing.  If we hear and think we see it, whatever it is, it becomes part of our consciousness.  Things have been a bit out of kilter for me so I am thinking the direct movement and Spring's return is something worth celebrating.  Persephone's return.  Let the Spring dance begin.  Now let me find my party hat.

Another three.  Three of Wands yesterday Three of Cups today, pair of threes.  Soft bet, but then again I don't know the next draw and it could be another three.  Three of a kind is a sure, well almost sure winner. 
I have a lovely meditation that I ride with the dolphins to my sacred place to help find an answer.  Maybe I need to take time to call to my water friends and take a meditative journey.  Nothing more fun than a frolic with friends.

Give it a splash

It is hot this week.  In the 90's most everyday until late next week.  This card reminds me when I was a young girl we didn't go to the neighborhood pool for a swim to cool off.  We lived in a more rural setting and so our answer as kids was go have a splash in a creek.  Back behind our home was several fields with a creek running through them, the only caveat was there were cows out and about and the farmer didn't want us upsetting the herd and neither did the bull among his gals.  We had to dash in and have a splash and get back out.  There was always the hose in the backyard, but running through the fields and jumping in the creek was more fun and carefree. 
For today maybe I can find a way to capture a moment of my carefree youth?

It's the little things in life that I must remember to celebrate.  Sometimes I can get caught up in waiting or dreading the BIG moments, that I don't pay attention to the everyday wonders.  These three fairies have come across a cool stream of water and jump in and enjoy.  The creek is always there; do we just walk on by or take a moment to jump in and have a splash?

Here's to it.  There is timing and a scheme to events that I maybe unaware of.  So be it.

I decided to stay with the Goddess Tarot today and drew this lovely card of celebration.  I had a good day yesterday with my money tree and I need to acknowledge that and not give into worries and fears of what the future may hold.  For today life is good and really that is all I have - this moment.
There is a rainbow in the backdrop and who doesn't love a rainbow.  A promise after the storm.

My cups are full and I have much to be grateful for.  Life has given me bouts of stormy weather and balanced those days with rainbows and sunshine.  So be it.  I will celebrate the here and now and let tomorrow take care of tomorrow.
Also I won ten dollars on the Hoosier Lottery yesterday adding to my money tree and definitely something to celebrate.
