Observation

Sometimes we get a message that just stands us on our head.  I have had them throughout my life days, some good, some not so good.  Most herald a change of sorts.  The trick is to remain in stillness and recognize them. Some of them we only acknowledge when we take a glance backward. I seem to waiting for....what not sure, hopefully I will recognize it when I see it.  I might need to remember to turn myself around and look at it from an opposite view, this way and then that.

Plodder

A job well done so often, life becomes a trudge.  Plodding along.  Movement barely discernable, if there is movement at all. Onward we go, because we must.  Good work is good work, but when there is no satisfaction we become an automaton. Well what fun is in that?
Yesterday I had to attend a training session at hospital for volunteers and I sat next to a woman, Mary, 93, who has been volunteering for just 15 years. She only started when she finally quit working and felt she still needed to be out there. Now she thinks of staying home, the fear of falling in the upcoming winter weather requires her to rethink her volunteering. She taught at the local schools until she was 70 and then became a tour guide with Toby Tours for six years.  How interesting she was to listen too. Maybe she had some plodding years, but she walked right out of them and enjoyed herself for the most part.

Right now on Middle Earth we are at a pivotal point. Do we move on or regress.  I have always felt that we will learn and move on, but there are shadows that cannot not be ignored.  For most of my life I have associated more with the Queen of Pentacles; now I seem to be morphing into a Queen of Cups.  The despair of the world weighs heavy.

"Much that once was is lost. For none now live who remember it." Galadriel, the last stanza of the quote above.

Peace and Compassion are indeed needed.

This page kind of looks like the flying monkeys in Oz.  With no wings she was the unique one. Lots of us have differences, some more apparent than others.  This page has become a collector of trinkets, oddities, and bits of this n that. Maybe they bring her comfort when the other are out on the wing.
Look for the unusual today and celebrate it.


So many lives lost and changed with the hate mongering that surrounds us.  It is the differences in us that make us wondrous.
Are we a losing battle?

Re-direct

Mercury went direct the other day.  Actually Mercury doesn't go backward or stand still when the Astrologers tell us a planet is stationary.  Perception.  It is more like when the car next to you in your peripheral vision moves just a bit and you think, 'oops my foot slipped off the brakes.'  The Earth in her elliptical loop gets a bit farther and then closer to Mercury who has been spinning just the same.
Are these leaves falling off the wands or lifting from the plant and attaching to the wands? Guess it is what we decide and our perception at the moment we view the card.  Choices made.  Loss or Gain?   Either way Life moves and lovely Planet Earth carries us forward.

In many of the Eight of Pentacles the pentacles are on display.  'Have a look see.'  Displayed for others viewing. Trying to impress or impressed with our own work?  Here the pentacles are gathered for just her and kitty to enjoy.  Maybe she is counting her blessings and happy with herself just the way things are, no need inviting others commentaries. Good advice wouldn't you say. 
Big mouths, big cars, big trucks, big egos.  So much fear.  No wonder she wants to stay home with kitty.
