Heed

Children often dream of adventures. Listening to the stories of parents and guardians they are ready to discover their own. Yesterday's cards of security and permanence chafes on the younger, who need to seek and find their own way.  And look a messenger has arrived with just the information needed to begin to seek that which calls.

    I asked a grade school teacher once when do children loose that bright eyed anything is possible shine. She said 3rd grade. Their teachers, parents, older siblings have pretty much beat it out of them by then. Sad

      That is about the time the pineal gland hardens and intuition and the magic seem to just get lost.

    I think our first real experience of great loss can knock it out of us. We realize that no one is bullet proof.

      It maybe the adults reaction to loss that scares the child more. And then that becomes our reality to loss.
