Get Up, Get Going...
Fear can keep oneself stuck. I have been stuck at the crossroads of indecision numerous times in my life, and then something comes along a gives me a shake and I get up and get going on my way. A gentle shake is much preferred to a major crisis.
I have been watching too much of the Weather Channel, time to get outside in the Sun-shine.

I try not to watch the news too often. Just enough to keep me updated without drowning myself in fear. If I let it get to me, I get anxious and afraid.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the sunshine and feel free!
It was a bright shiny day. Did some work and now home and ready to settle down with a book. Forget the tv.
DeleteWe used to have to wait until the 6:00 radio news came on. And given they had a thirty minute window the announcers would shotgun out a lot of news. Not the ONE news.
ReplyDeleteThat is about the time dad would get home from work, we'd sit right down to eat, and were quiet because news was important to the folks. If it was the wrong time for news we'd all blag at a great paces.
Same in the household I grew up in. When Dad was at home, it was much different. Quite and reserved, he could go off on a tirade in an instance.
DeleteAck, I'm binge-watching the Weather Channel too, worrying about family in Florida and wondering when and where that hurricane is going to turn. We've almost got as many Floridians here as we do Georgians! But at least people are trying to be helpful instead of thinking only of themselves.
ReplyDeleteAgain, stay safe. My sister was vacationing down south of Tampa Bay and is now home safe. Interstate 75 was a slow go and sometimes a crawl until Valdosta, all day yesterday. After Gainsville it picked up a bit. Today, tomorrow traffic will be a nightmare in Florida and Georgia
