Do we really need a go between, between God and us? Maybe we still seek out the 'holy' women and men because we believe they know all the secrets that the rest of us unfortunate souls do not have access to?
Today The Hierophant reminds me of Queen Elizabeth 1. She who was both Queen and The Leader of the Anglican Church during the time of her reign. This Hierophant has really soft facial features and has not grown a beard as was often done by religious leaders. She certainly did not follow tradition and found her own way. Maybe that will be my take away today.
