Winter, blah. Today is the Winter Solstice. The shortest day of the year here in the Northern Hemisphere. This fairy is prepared with his stockpile of snowballs, but not sharing doesn't win him any friends. We sometimes turn people 'off ' with our actions and attitudes. Their problem or ours? What's the point in having all those snowballs when no one wants to play with us?
Bright Blessings and may Winter be kind to us.

May we keep our faces turned toward the sun.
ReplyDeleteIntent I suppose dear Carolyn. Do we intend to smash those snowballs into windows and people's heads? Do we stack them into something beautiful and glistening, returning light to our lives, releasing the power back into the earth?
ReplyDeleteI'm gaining some perspective in my vacation, some things have come to me I might have thought unwarranted or unwanted not long ago, that I'm finding of deep value. I'll take one of those snowballs please.
I was at death's door, a place you'll recognize, had been there three weeks when my brother's girlfriend brought me a snowball in her pocket. By the time they let her in to see me it was golf ball sized but I held it with joy, took a bite. As I think back on it so many years later it could have been one of the turning points of light that brought me back. .. so honor your snowballs. Love, Sharyn
How lovely, thank you for sharing.
