Introspection

 

The last day of Autumn here, though it has been feeling a bit on the wintery side lately. Tomorrow the Winter's Solstice. The long darker days of winter ahead.  In truth I look forward to the Winter's Solstice as the Earth begins her turn back towards the Sun and the days begin to lengthen. This is the Hermit's time.  During these cold and darker days of winter we need her/his light of guidance to get us through. A quiet time of introspection to look inward and to give a good long look at ourselves.

    Here, we are coming up to the shortest day (light hours) of the first day of winter on the 21st, and then the daylight hours will begin to lengthen. Already! or so it seems. But we've yet to get through several months of severe winter weather, so it's not over yet. -Kate in Canada
