Preparedness
There are strong storms and tornados down South today. I hope and pray that all and for everyone in the path of storms. Later this afternoon in the area I live we could also see some major storms and possible tornados. Can you completely prepare for such an event? One day I am sure a huge storm is going to pass this way and leave me catatonic. It is one of my worse fears, that a tornado will pass through my area and finish what happened in 2012.

I was always on good terms with the weather. I will carry the tornado scars throughout my days as Carolyn and hopefully I will not take them into my next lifetime.
DeleteI can't even imagine in any way, what the sight of a tornado must do to your psyche. I'll always remember our time together when you said, almost in passing, you struggle with showing houses with slanted driveways, the going 'up' brings fearful feelings. You are the strongest person I know.
ReplyDeleteI still have trouble with driveways and hillsides going up. It is not a scream fest like it was the first year, still my heart races and the adrenaline rushes through me as it always will. I think you are brave strong woman!

ReplyDeleteMy hallway has been full of lanterns, flashlights, battery packs for charging smart phones, bottles of water, granola bars and pillows since 3am this morning. None of it could change what would or wouldn't happen with the weather, but the preparation ritual made me feel less scared. And I agree with Sharyn - you are a woman of courage (even though you may feel frightened at times).
