I have rounded the corner of my cold, or it feels like it this morning. One week of misery. I believe the fairies have sprinkled some of their magical dust on me and I can get back to my everyday doings.
I have not felt like doing much of anything and have pretty much allowed myself to rest, which is a change. For a better part of my years I would just marshal through those sick days and if I couldn't, I fretted about all the work not done. Not this time, just let it pile up like these books. I did what was absolutely necessary this week and nothing else.
"Find a penny pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck."
FAIRY TAROT Cards
Perhaps I have always known everything important but will need a lifetime to discover what I know. Tarot and Oracles offer me guides and sign posts to help me along my way.

I've always lept for found pennies. Unless I was with Theresa. She did too until the day her husband died about an hour after she picked up her last 'penny for good luck'. Funny, the associations we make.
ReplyDeleteI pick up all pennies, whether they are heads or tails up. 'find a penny pick it up and all day long you have good luck.' Eventually I have 50 of them and though fifty cents won't get much those pennies can add up.
DeleteIt seems the older we get the wiser we get and more compassionate with ourselves too

DeleteWhen I was hurt and off from work for more than a year I learned that someone else is always there to pick up the slack. If I can't do it someone else will so might as well relax and put efforts into healing instead of worries.
DeleteEven pushing myself to work when sick usually ended up with me doing work that was below par. Good on you for taking a break as much as possible; glad you feel better!
ReplyDeleteI did a little, but when I had a long term client said she didn't want to talk to me because those germs might find their way across the lines, I had to laugh and just decided to take the time off and heal.
