I wonder why when the apple cart gets tipped over, we automatically drift to the dark-side. That's the first inclination, the 'why oh why me' response. Clearly this gal has her circle of light but stands just outside her protection.  A few things of concern can become a mountain in our minds and then the worry really sits in. The answer is to choose a better feeling or thought, step into hopefulness and let the light banish the fears. Today is all we really have, tomorrow will take care of tomorrow. 

What do we want to infuse ourselves with, Light or the dark? We choose.

I am not sure what this Six of Pentacles is relaying to me. Just relying on the image and not what the traditional meaning would be, I say that being grounded in a Earth sign has kept me from following those flights of fantasy. Basically I have pretty much everything I need, but it is not enough. Are we ever completely satisfied with ourselves and or our lives? The 'have and have not' in our lives, keeps on the move.

A little competition can aide ourselves toward improvement. Improvement of what kind is what the competition is all about.  Want to be best at what you do, you really need to compete against others doing the same.  At which point you discover that indeed you do it well or there is room for improvement. The sign of Leo and the Planet of Jupiter warns of going overboard in the attempt to prove you are the best.  Fives suggest a time of change or that something must change. Maybe there is room for improvement or maybe it is time for a new choice.

2021 is a Five Year, 2+2+1= 5, a change we have to meet head on.

Last ditch attempt

 Never heard of the constellation COMA. A cluster of named stars in the sign of Virgo in the northern sky. Bernice, the wife of Ptolemy III cut off all her hair as a sacrifice to Aphrodite for her husband's safe return. For her attempt to garner her husband's safety she was immortalized in the heavens. Also might do with the fact that Ptolemy was one of, if not the first Astrologer. Sometimes we will do almost anything to get what we want, when patience might be a better option.  For me it reminds me not to get antsy in my early pre-retirement stage and jump back into the work force. I still need time to settle and figure out what that next thing is.  Doesn't cutting off all your hair make you vulnerable and weak?

I am not sure why the author decided to use Hydra, a giant water snake, as a portrayal of the Four of Wands? Maybe the five or eight of cups, but the Four of Wands or to feature the Sun in the sign of Leo. Leo is a fire sign so that correlates with the wands, but the Sun would be more a major card. The best I have today is because we think we have come to a place of success (the biggest is the best) and we think we have the time and place to celebrate, that is not to be. Foundations are just that, something to build on.  Enjoy the moment and then get on with getting on.

With my renewed interest in astrology I find myself sidetracked by the stars and the planets. Many thousand of years ago we wandered under the influence of the Sun and the Moon. With the advent of fire we began to wander less and ventured out in to the night to tend the fire and we began noticing the movement of the points of light in the sky.  

I will tip my Ace of Cups to beginning something new.
